Sunday means catchup, and here’s some happy news: Although I can’t set a publication date yet for the sixth Monkey Queen book, The Crown Of Kylthena, I can confirm that Willow will be back to do the cover! (We’re getting it done early to avoid some scheduling conflicts she’ll have later this year.) I’ve already seen her first sketches, and I promise that this cover will knock your socks off! (We recommend putting on socks when it’s time to reveal the cover.) More after the cut.
I have mixed feelings about Stephen Moffat leaving Doctor Who. On the one hand, there were some dodgy ideas and subpar seasons. On the other, he did bring us some excellent seasons and classic episodes. He did bring Neil Gaiman on board. He did write “Day Of The Doctor”. And he did cast Matt Smith, and then Peter Capaldi. All told, I think he did a decent job.
But no more episodes, no more Twelve, until Christmas? THAT’S the part that annoys me.
And something else that annoys me is that it wasn’t until two days ago that I knew this existed: A fan film adaptation of Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld short story “Troll Bridge”, done with Sir Terry’s blessing. I am happy that I found out about it, and I was happy to help back it in a small way. Here’s a look at what they’ve done so far; head to the official web site to see more.
