it’s no good blogging in the sun

Kicking Sunday off with an updated reminder: As I mentioned last week, Willow will be appearing at the Collectif Pin Up booth at the Japan Expo in Paris this coming weekend, July 7-10. She’s just announced that you can get copies of her debut BD/graphic novel, The Journey Of Earth, for just €12.00 through July 10, either at the show or from her directly! And you should if you haven’t already – as you’d expect from Willow, the story is imaginative and the art is wonderful! The best way to contact Willow would be through her Facebook or DeviantArt pages; if that doesn’t work, email me or leave a comment and I’ll put you in touch with her. And get more info on Japan Expo here! More after the cut.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m a big fan of Kate Danley and her Maggie MacKay urban fantasy series. Well, Kate’s just released the seventh book, Maggie Reloaded, and it’s just as snarky and action-packed as the others. Grab it at Amazon, and if you haven’t read any of Maggie’s adventures, the first book, Maggie For Hire, is free! (Warning: May not be suited for younger readers. Many swear words.)

I’ve also mentioned that I’m a big fan of Australian geek-popper Meri Amber. She’s just released a lyric video for “You Chose Me”, which may be my favorite track from her most recent CD, Retro Sherbet. Head to her website to watch the video, find out more about her, and listen to (and buy!) her music.

Finally, I shared this song a few weeks back…but I like this video better.
