the less I say the more my blog gets done

Starting off Sunday with this news: The new Monkey Queen book, The Crown Of Kylthena, is now available on DriveThruFiction! In case you missed Michiko and Beth’s latest adventure, head over here for a full list of buying links! More after the cut.

Quick update: Work has started on the paperback edition of The Crown Of Kylthena. Hopefully, I’ll have proofs in hand in the next two weeks, and after that, I can announce a release date. Also, sorry for the lack of posts last week; I will try to catch up this week.

Meanwhile, I wanted to thank Meri Amber, who featured me with several other fine people on a post on her blog last week! Check that out, and then poke around her website if you’re not familiar with her music. She’s one of my very favorite geek pop acts, and if you’re wondering why…try this song out.

The Doubleclicks have a new nifty video series called “You Should Write A Song About That,” where they interview someone and then write a song about something the interviewee suggests. This first installment is about Anandibai Joshi, and you’ll find out more by watching the video below.

Here’s a brand new (lyrically, anyway) track from the PDX Broadsides! Recommended, especially for Labyrinth fans.

And finally: Lucia Fasano (reminder: her Radio Silence album is quite good) claims that she put together this Squirrel Girl costume from things she found in her closet. I’ll keep her secret identity quiet if you will. [winks]

Daniel is blogging tonight on a plane

A request/reminder for Monkey Queen fans to start this Sunday catchup: If you’ve enjoyed Michiko and Beth’s adventures, please take the time to leave a review! People do pay attention to what other readers have to say about books they’re interested in. They’ll do the most good on Amazon, especially for any book after the first, but any review anywhere you want to post it will help. Don’t be shy! I appreciate all the support I’ve received so far from reviewers, and the readers you could be bringing in will appreciate it too. More, including another way you can help, after the cut. Max

I’ve mentioned before that the Doubleclicks are a nerd-pop-folk-rock sister duo, but I don’t talk enough about their secret weapon…Max, the cat keyboard. They’ve just released a cover version of a certain theme most of you know, and Max is in full force here. (Perfect music for your next trip to Cattooine…)

But I still think I like this cover version they did of a certain theme most of you know even better.

blogging in the country, fishing in the stream

Happy Easter Sunday catchup! Hope all of you enjoyed your candy! Or will enjoy the half-off sales on Monday like me. I had a happy Easter surprise this morning, when I got to see how far Willow’s come on drawing the cover for the upcoming sixth Monkey Queen book, The Crown Of Kylthena. You may want to put on extra socks when this book comes out, because this cover will knock them off! More after the cut. Continue reading
